Mr. Lukowski’s primary responsibility is overseeing the portfolio management team and functions for the multifamily portfolio. Previously, Mr. Lukowski had a 19-year career at Heitman Capital Management, LLC, an institutional real estate investment advisory firm, most recently as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management. He acted as senior portfolio manager for the separate account with California State Teachers' Retirement System since 1999. He also served as a portfolio manager for other major separate accounts including Alaska Permanent Fund, Iowa Public Employees Retirement System, AT&T, Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association and Verizon. Responsibilities included implementation of asset management plans for multifamily, retail, office, and industrial properties. Daily activities included oversight of on-site personnel, property operations, leasing and coordination of investor accounting, performance and valuations.
While attending DePaul University, Mr. Lukowski was also employed by the accounting firm of Pannell Kerr Forster in the real estate appraisal department. He is a graduate of DePaul University, where he earned a BS in Finance (1988) and an MBA (1992). He served as Chairperson of the Performance Measurement Committee of NCREIF in 1995/1996 and has been a member since 1989. In 2005, he also served as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is an active member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
